			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p><a href="http://www.informationisbeautiful.net/">Information is beautiful!</a> Det vigtigste, set fra et brugerperspektiv, er dog ikke visualiseringerne i sig selv, men derimod, hvad de kommunikerer og hvilke interaktioner de fordrer.</p>
<p>I maj blev en Creunadelegation sendt til <a href="http://www.futureeverything.org/home">designkonference</a> i Manchester for at lære om det seneste  indenfor datavisualisering og datahåndtering. Ikke blot så vi <a href="http://www.murmurart.com/dialogue/rana-begum-at-the-delfina-foundation">smukke</a> <a href="http://www.aaronkoblin.com/work/flightpatterns/">datavisualiseringer</a>, den største inspiration til det daglige arbejde lå i, hvordan flere af projekterne, gjorde brug af helt enkle virkemidler eller <a href="http://c2.com/cgi/wiki?WikiDesignPrinciples">designprincipper</a> for at engagere og motivere brugere.</p>
<p><a href="http://www.wearemudlark.com/projects/chromaroma/">Chromaroma</a> er et socialt spil, der benytter sig af de data, som afgives når brugere af <a href="https://oyster.tfl.gov.uk/oyster/entry.do">Oyster Card</a> benytter sig af transportsystemet i London. Formålet med spillet er at få flere mennesker til at benytte sig af offentlig transport. Jeg vil ikke gå i detaljer med selve spillet, men i stedet lægge vægt på det forhold, at spillerne får deres transportdata visualiseret, hvilket faktisk virker motiverende for at ændre adfærd. Vi hørte eksempler på, at brugere, der er begyndt at tage toget mere, fordi de ønsker at se deres datamængde vokse (og vinde), om brugere, der er begyndt at benytte sig af alternative ruter, fordi det giver dem flere point samt om brugere der besøger nye bydele, fordi de ved hjælp af visualiseringen bliver klar over, at der er nye uopdagede områder af deres egen by.</p>

Brugere af sitet anvender således BBC-materiale til at genskabe eksempelvist <a href="http://www.bbc.co.uk/dna/memoryshare/MA14374914?type=2&amp;s_filter=articles&amp;show=8">personlige oplevelser</a> eller producere deres egne udgaver af <a href="http://www.bbc.co.uk/music/sevenages/">rockens historie</a>. Det at brugerne selv kan sammenstykke deres minder og få feedback i form af en visuelt appelerende præsentation af deres arbejde motiverer dem til at anvende sitet.</p>
<p><a href="http://www.ask-poly.com/">Ask Poly</a> er et projekt, der bygger på princippet om instant feedback for at motivere brugerne til at anvende softwaren. Svar ja eller nej på et simpelt spørgsmål i et survey og se resultatet i form af <a href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/gullig/4606915782/">fysiske rør</a>, der bevæger sig alt efter, hvad man har svaret.</p>
<p>Fælles for alle projekterne er, at de baseret på ideen om, at datavisualisering som feedback &#8211; visuel, audiotiv eller sensorisk &#8211; virker motiverende for brugere og engagerer dem til dels at anvende ens software, men også til at ændre adfærd. Hvordan vi anvender princippet om feedback i vores design af digitale produkter og services er således afgørende for det resultat, vi ønsker at opnå.</p>
<p><a href="http://www.futureeverything.org/">Konferencen Futureeverything</a> kan hermed i høj grad anbefales, hvis man er interesseret i nye måder at engagere brugere.</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Mange virksomheder bøvler med at få besvaret og lukket sager fra deres kundeservice. Der er sikkert lavet mange snedige beregninger på hvordan man kan nedbringe ekspeditionstiden og spare penge, men en af de mere elegante løsninger er at sørge for at kunden aldrig henvender sig, men klarer problemet selv.</p>
<p><a href="http://surftown.dk">Surftown</a> har løst dette ved at have et udbygget <a href="http://surftown.dk/support">support-univers</a>, hvor man kan finde svar på det meste. Hvis man alligevel ønsker at kontake supporten, så introducerer de en søgemaskine, som &#8220;tvinger&#8221; mig igennem en række løsningsforslag. Det lyder måske som en online tele-sluse (en service jeg hader), men det fungerer faktisk rigtig godt!</p>

<p>I mit konkrete tilfælde nåede jeg aldrig til at beskrive problemet, da løsningen på mit problem poppede op efter valg af kategori. Jeg slap for at vente på den klassiske &#8220;Tak for din forespørgsel. Vi vender tilbage bla bla bla&#8221;-mail og Surftown slap for at oprette en sag på mig.</p>

<p>Kuponerne kommer! I dag kan <a title="Læs artiklen på pol.dk" href="http://politiken.dk/tjek/dagligliv/article988658.ece" target="_blank">Politiken </a>berette at to nylige afgørelser fra EU-domstolen betyder, at forbuddet mod rabat-kuponer ikke længere kan opretholdes i Danmark.</p>
<p>Det betyder i praksis at producenter og butikker gerne må udstede kuponer, der mod fremvisning giver rabat i på udvalgte produkter. Dermed vil de, som har fundet og modtaget kuponen få en rabat, som forbrugere uden kuponen ikke får. Modtagelsen er umiddelbar negativ hos dagligvarekæderne og yderst positiv hos producenterne. Butikkerne skal alt andet lige bruge ressourcer på at administrere kuponerne og måske endda indgå med tilskud til rabatgivningen. Selvom disse rabatter i et markedsøkonomisk perspektiv er ueffektive, så vil vi nok se dem vinde indpas i Danmark snart: De er massivt populære i USA, et land hvis forbrugsmønstre ofte har inspireret forbruget i Danmark.</p>
<p>Men kuponer behøver ikke være så besværgelige at administrere og giver helt nye muligheder for at måle værdien af annoncekroner og tilbudsstrategi. I stedet for at finde saksen og kuponklemmen frem, så kan jeres kunder få kuponen på mobilen og måske som en del af et spil, hvor I får kunden til at blive bruger og interagere med jeres brand og produkter. Hvad med et spil, hvor en kupon kan deles og først udløser rabat når 4 andre venner har aktiveret deres kupon også?</p>
<p>Et andet spændende eksempel på er amerikanske <a title="Læs mere i Inc. Magazine" href="http://www.inc.com/magazine/20100401/how-to-use-groupon-to-boost-sales.html" target="_blank">Groupon</a>, der uddeler kuponer som først aktiveres når virksomheden har fået købstilsagn fra et forudaftalt antal kunder.</p>

<p>Endelig har vi også danske erfaringer med simple mobilkuponer, der har vist imponerende indløsningsrater. <a title="Besøg ScreenTicket" href="http://bit.ly/9vI7uy" target="_blank">ScreenTicket</a> udstedte i samarbejde med bl.a. Coca Cola kuponer på en gratis Sprite i Kort&amp;Godt-butikker. I et sådan setup bliver det automatisk registreret hvor mange kuponer kunder bad om (eller hvor mange gange kuponen blev &#8220;klippet ud&#8221;), hvor mange der blev indløst og hvornår på døgnet. Da kuponen var digital havde afsenderen lettere ved at segmentere den til den unge målgruppe og i et lidt anderledes setup ville de også kunne knytte kupon-adfærden til allerede kendte data om kunde/bruger.</p>
<p>De nye kuponregler giver altså ikke bare mulighed for at booste salget af en ny produktvariant, men også muligheden for at lære jeres kunder bedre at kende, tilbyde brugertilrettede rabatter, måle på kuponindsatsen og skabe ny kundeinteraktion via fx spil og &#8220;kunde-skaffer-kunde&#8221;-koncepter. Hvis kuponen er digital og ligger på en mobiltelefon, bliver administrationen i butikkerne og for kunder også lettere, da man ikke skal fumle med papirklip, men har kuponerne på sit personlige  device i lommen.</p>
<p>Og husk! En digital kupon kan sagtens trykkes i en gammeldags tilbudsavis eller på en plakat med mobile stregkoder og shortcode sms&#8217;er.</p>

<p>Sådan indledte Jim Sterne dette års <a href="http://emetrics.org/sanjose/" target="_blank">Emetrics Marketing Optimization Summit</a> i San Jose. Et stort forum for analyse- og marketingfolk. Og således blev den uundgåelige sammenhæng mellem marketing og analytics yderligere understreget.</p>
<p>Deltagelsen på konferencen var stor og noter blev i år, i stor stil, kradset ned på de amerikanske deltageres nyerhvervede Ipads.</p>
<p>Med Jims ord var rammerne altså sat. Fokus i år var på eksekvering og måling af Social Media Marketing (SMM). Noget der er på agendaen i de fleste virksomheder, uanset deres modenhedsniveau inden for online marketing.</p>
<p>Indtrykket af, at vi generelt stadigvæk er umodne i forhold til håndteringen af SMM, og især det at måle effekten af vores tiltag, blev bekræftet på konferencen. Jeg talte med en del deltagere (fra virksomheder) om, hvor de var i forhold til at tæmme dette ’social media monster’, og ligeledes var der god dialog om det på de forskellige tracks (altid et udbytterigt element på amerikanske konferencer – folk holder sig ikke tilbage i debatten : ).</p>
<p>De fleste deltagere var stadigvæk i fasen, hvor de eksperimenterede med SMM, men de havde især udfordringer med at måle effekten af deres tiltag. Derfor var de inspirerende indlæg om, hvordan denne udfordring kan håndteres velkomne hos de fleste.<br />
De fleste indlæg om emnet ’measuring social media effect’ handlede om, hvordan man kommer i gang: Hvordan man etablerer en social mediestrategi, hvordan man strukturerer sine målsætninger og ikke mindst sin opfølgning på disse målsætninger.<br />
Især <a href="http://emetrics.org/sanjose/2010/speakers.php#paine" target="_blank">Katie Delahaye Paine</a> havde nogle gode pointer omkring brugen af online og offline data til bedre at kunne styre sine SMM tiltag.</p>
<p>Hvor fru Paine var meget hands on, præsenterede Jim Sterne i sin Key Note de overordnede rammer, udfordringer, og til dels også løsninger på det at måle og optimere sine SMM aktiviteter. Præsentationen afspejlede indholdet i hans nyeste bog <a href="http://www.amazon.co.uk/Social-Media-Metrics-Marketing-Investment/dp/0470583789/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&amp;s=books&amp;qid=1273490573&amp;sr=8-1" target="_blank">Measuring Social Media</a>, der stadig var varm fra trykken, da vi modtog en kopi af den. Jeg er ved at være i hus med den (trods alt en 22 timers flyvetur : ), og den er klart anbefalelsesværdig!</p>
<p>Ligeledes fandt jeg, som altid, Avinash Kaushiks indlæg underholdende og inspirerende. Avinash er kendt som en, der har en resultatorienteret tilgang til webanalyse. Det afspejlede sig også i hans indlæg, der primært handlede om, hvilke trackingværktøjer der ifølge ham var mest egnet til at vurdere og optimere resultaterne af forskellige SSM tiltag. Avinash tester i snit 3-4 nye værktøjer på sin blog/site om måneden, så han har en solid referenceramme..<br />
Det handlede dog ikke alt sammen om sociale medier. Der var ligeledes gode indlæg om webanalysens andre udfordringer, muligheder, fordele, frustrationer…listen er lang : ).</p>
<p><a href="http://emetrics.org/sanjose/2010/tracks/keynotes.php#k05" target="_blank">Joe Megibow</a> fra Expedia, verdens førende udbyder af rejser online, var endnu engang blevet kørt i stilling til en Key Note. Denne mands inspirerende indlæg vil tilsyneladende ingen ende tage. At høre, hvordan Expedia gør brug af webanalyse til at optimere deres forretning er guf for øregangen. De har styr på det! De ved hvad der skal til for at opnå forretningsresultater med webanalyse – en sund balance mellem:<br />
<strong>Teknologi, processer og mennesker – og fokus på optimering!</strong></p>
<p>Det som jeg hæftede mig mest ved var, at Joe Megibows analyseafdeling (ja, de kender ikke til begrebet ’én webanalytiker’) har skabt så mange forretningsresultater, at de nu rent faktisk er blevet ansvarlige for det indhold, der skal lanceres på sitet. Set i lyset af, at det var dem der vidste bedst om, hvordan sitet performer, og ligeledes anbefalede hvad der skulle gøres, besluttede man at skære ’mellemfedtet’ fra. Webanalytikerne blev Product Managers – ejere af indhold – smukt : )!</p>
<p>Alt i alt en inspirerende konference. Den Skandinaviske <a href="http://emetrics.org/stockholm/" target="_blank">version</a> afholdes igen i år i Stockholm den 28-29. september. <p>Creuna er repræsenteret med en løsning, som er lige dele kommunikation og interaktionsdesign: Metro Cityring.<br />

På en udstilling, der også huser fysiske objekter er det naturligvis svært at råbe op med en 100 % digital løsning, men det er i sig selv godt, at DDC anerkender at en veldesignet kommunikationsløsning baseret på dyb indsigt og et stærkt koncept <em>også</em> er vigtigt design.<br />

<p>Creunas Metro-løsning er en digital kommunikationsindsats, der sikrer relevant information om Metrobyggeriet i København til den enkelte borger. Geografisk information kobles med data fra byggepladserne, og når løsningen er fuldt udbygget i 2012 vil alle Københavnere kunne sikres øjeblikkelig information om byggeriet &#8211; men kun når byggeriet vil påvirke borgerens liv.</p>
<p>Det er 1-til-1 kommunikation ført helt ud, og det er &#8211; synes vi &#8211; både fremragende tænkt, designet og udført, og det i et fantastisk samarbejde med Metroselskabet.</p>
